About the tour

Epidaurus is the most important ancient place of worship of the god Asklepios. The city was located where Pidaura or Old Epidaurus (Ancient Epidaurus) is today, 13 kilometers from its Asklepiio.

Its sanctuary can be found in the area of the current city of Lygouri (Asclepieio Municipality, Epidaurus Municipality) in the Peloponnese in the prefecture of Argolis, about 30 km. from the city of Nafplion, 20 km from New Epidaurus[1] and about 13 km from Old Epidaurus. Since 1988 it belongs to the world cultural heritage of UNESCO
